SKULLPANDA is the gothic counterweight in the Pop Mart roster — a "universal symbiont" with a panda-eared helmet, spherical braids and editorial styling. Each series reads like a fashion lookbook rather than a cute toy line, framed around the idea that nothing is absolute. The complete SKULLPANDA series list, from 2020 to 2026 all 73 series in release order, each with its date, figure count and a link to every figure and price. Shelfd keeps it current as new SKULLPANDA drops land.

Created by Xiong Miao (熊喵, also romanised Xiong Mao), a Chinese designer with a background in CG concept art for film, architecture and gaming. She founded BEIZHAI studio in 2014 and began developing SKULLPANDA in late 2018, later founding LAZYNORTH. Her stated theme is "non-absoluteness." The Pop Mart partnership launched in 2020 with the Ancient Castle series, which reportedly sold 60,000 units in one second.

Ancient Castle Series

Skullpanda's debut blind-box series, from Chinese artist Xiong Miao and her studio LazyNorth. It fills a haunted castle with gothic archetypes — Phantom, Vampire, Skeleton, Gargoyle, a Baby Zombie and a Bloody Rose — with Bloody Knight as the secret. Playful more than macabre, Ancient Castle set the template for Skullpanda's signature mix of dark aesthetic and themed, character-driven storytelling that the line has run with ever since.

The Mare Of Animals Series

The Mare of Animals reimagines Skullpanda through creatures real and mythic — The Fox, The Elephant, The Moth, The Blue Morpho, a Unicorn and the extinct Passenger Pigeon among them — with The Dream Eater kept as the secret. The word "mare" hints at nightmares as much as dreams, lending the animal cast a surreal, half-sleeping mood beneath the cuteness.

Rendered in soft ink-wash tones, it's one of the line's most artful and sought-after sets, trading pop culture for heritage.

The Warmth Series

The Warmth is the most tender set in the line — thirteen figures about small, cosy comforts. Quiet moments carry it: Doodling, The Day Off, The Raining Day, Taste from the Memory, Recall the Past, with The Warmth itself hidden as the secret. Soft palettes and home-like scenes make it one of Skullpanda's most beloved series, a deliberate turn from the darker earlier themes toward everyday nostalgia.

Image of Reality is Skullpanda's most philosophical set, playing on perception versus what's real. Its figures pose the question directly — The Disguise, The Duality in black and white, The Imagination, The Philosophy, The Timelapse — with The Onlooker hidden as the secret. Thought-provoking and layered, it rewards collectors who like a concept as much as a design.

Ornate and Eastern-mythic, it's among Skullpanda's most atmospheric recent sets.

#26 · 6 June 2025 · plush_pendant · 10 figures

SKULLPANDA L'impressionnisme Series Plush

L'impressionnisme trades Skullpanda's usual edge for the soft light of Impressionist painting. Ten plush pendants in dreamy pastels take their names from nature and weather — Pond, Blossom, Windflower, Dawn, Mist, Dew, Amber — with In the Garden hidden as the secret. Brushed and hazy like a Monet, it's a quieter, gallery-inspired side of the character in wearable form.

#34 · 11 September 2025 · plush_pendant · 10 figures

SKULLPANDA You Found Me! Plush Doll Pendant

Its Chinese title, 不眠剧场, translates closer to "Sleepless Night Theatre" — and that's the real premise: each character is a childhood fear reimagined as a gentle guardian. The greedy Chomp bites through pain, the growling Cerberus sings away loneliness, star-cloaked Darkness makes the dark feel safe, and the Sandman blocks nightmares until the monsters turn friendly by dawn. Buddy Doggie, the Dream Knight, is the secret — the ringleader who leads them all in comforting anyone who can't sleep.

SKULLPANDA Petals in Four Acts Series Figures

Petals in Four Acts is Skullpanda's most literary series, drawing on Shakespearean tragedy to stage the life of a flower across four acts — from first bloom to inevitable decay.
