Who is MOLLY?
MOLLY is where Pop Mart begins. The pouting, blue-eyed little girl with the blunt bob and the perpetually unimpressed expression was the brand's first blind-box character, and twenty years on she is still its figurehead. She's a painter, an explorer, a cook, a sulker — whatever the series needs — but the pout never changes, and that stubborn little face is the most recognisable silhouette in designer toys.
The artist: Kenny Wong
MOLLY was created in 2006 by the Hong Kong artist Kenny Wong, inspired by a little girl he met at a charity painting event who scowled at him while she worked. Pop Mart licensed the character in 2016 and the first MOLLY blind-box series effectively invented the format the whole hobby now runs on. 2026 marks MOLLY's 20th anniversary, celebrated with a run of dedicated editions and the first MEGA ROYAL MOLLY series.

The story so far: every MOLLY series
The classics (2019–2022)
The modern run starts with Ocean (2019, secret: Daughter of the Sea) and the twenty-six-figure One Day of Molly (2020). A Boring Day With Molly and My Childhood (2021) are quiet favourites; Cooking, Steam Punk Animal Bike and the photographer collaboration MOLLY × Mika Ninagawa filled 2022.
Wandering and superpowers (2023)
Imaginary Wandering (January 2023) hid The Statue of Street Performer; My Instant Superpower (October) gave her X-Ray Vision as the secret; and the first Anniversary Statues set (September) began the collector-grade strand, alongside a Warner Bros. centenary crossover.
Enter Baby Molly (2024)
Baby Molly: When I Was Three! (April 2024) is the series that changed the line — MOLLY as a toddler, with King of Molly World as the secret — and it has run ever since. Anniversary Statues 2 (July) and Carb-lover (October, secret: Pretend Bear Bread) rounded out the year.
Baby Molly's world (2025)
My Huggable Discovery (January 2025, secret: Hug Rescue Plan) and Baby Molly & Baby Tabby (May, secret: The New King) — with squishy-charm, pinch-pendant and Pocket Friends spin-offs — made Baby Molly a universe. Fruity Aroma (September) added scented charms; MOLLY × Zootopia (October) put Finnick in a stroller as the chase; and the Winter Fit Check pendants closed the year.
The 20th-anniversary year (2026)
2026 is wall-to-wall celebration. February brought three 20th Anniversary Editions — She Is From 2006, Fortune Ahead and Starlight Glow — plus the new Angry Molly pendant line. Scenery Along The Way (April) is the centrepiece: seventeen figures retracing two decades, with The First Molly (Green) as the secret. The Wheel of Time (June) and Baby Molly Buggy Roam followed; MEGA ROYAL MOLLY 100% Series 1 (August 2026) — a record UK launch, with Special Princess and Star Upon The Sea as the chases — brought the MEGA format to blind boxes; and October's Disney Princess pair, Baby Molly Disney Princess and Angry Molly Disney Princess, is the newest.
