MOLLY is the pouting blonde-haired girl who started everything — created as a vinyl art toy in 2006, she became Pop Mart's first blind-box character ten years later. Her signature feature is the pursed-lip expression; her variants range from zodiac figures to giant 1000%-scale Space Molly astronauts. Created by Kenny Wong Shun Ming, a Hong Kong art-toy designer who works through his studio Kennyswork. He met the real Molly — a girl with lake-green eyes — at a 2006 charity fundraiser; she answered "My name is Molly" when asked, and the character was born that day. After a decade as an independent collector figure, Wong signed with Pop Mart founder Wang Ning in 2016. The July 2016 MOLLY Zodiac series was Pop Mart's first blind box and the template for every Pop Mart IP that followed.
