Mofusand is a Japanese illustration character brand featuring small white cats dressed in quirky costumes (shark suits, food-themed outfits, and other disguises). The name comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia "mofu mofu," meaning soft or fluffy. Mofusand began as digital illustrations shared on social media in 2017 and has since expanded into merchandise, a short anime series (premiered January 2026), and collaborations with Sanrio, Uniqlo and other licensors.
